ABOUT THE PLAY

In this hilarious show-within-a-show, The Dreidel Players — an amateur, not quite "ready for primetime" theatre troupe — attempt to produce the world’s most ambitious Hanukkah show… in just eight days!

As the clock ticks and the candles burn, their quest to finish the show by opening night leads to an evening overflowing with holiday spirit, joyful mishigas, and latke-scented delight!

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Jeremy began his career as one of those guys at the amusement park who guesses your age and weight—and he was, like, amazing at it. That might have been enough for most people, but Jeremy shifted gears, emerging as an award-winning writer, whose plays and musicals have played on stages throughout the world. You may also know him from his legendary annual Latkes ‘n’ Vodkas parties in the early 2000s that sometimes lasted for (up to eight) days. He resides in New York City with his wife and their preschool-age nugget. They live right by that Starbucks. (No, the other one.)

VICTOR WISHNA

On the third night of Hanukkah in 1983 (5744), Victor received all five Dinobots from his Bubbie and Zadie. Yes, all five—in one night. From this he learned that anything is possible, and has been pursuing his creative dreams ever since, as an author, editor, playwright and commentator. As a dramatist (and comedist), he has composed nearly a dozen plays. In 2010, he was named New York’s second-funniest amateur Jewish comedian by The Jewish Week, which is so much funnier than earning first-funniest (right?). He now lives in the Kansas City suburbs with his wife and their two brilliant and perfectly-behaved children.
