MUSICAL THEATRE
GOOD NEWS
Originally produced on Broadway in 1927 — and then, briefly, in 1974 — Good News is a classic, feel-good musical comedy with a timeless score by DeSylva, Brown & Henderson.
For its "revisal" at Goodspeed Opera House, Good News got a brand-spankin'-new book by Jeremy Desmon. Set amongst the high-energy hijinks of Tait College in the Roaring '20s, the riotous comedy features such classic tunes as "You're The Cream in My Coffee," "The Varsity Drag," "Button Up Your Overcoat" and "Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries."

“GOOD NEWS exists to entertain... and that’s just what it does! Retooled by Jeremy Desmon,
it sparkles with fast-paced, knockabout spirit. A first-rate production!” — The New York Times
